Globally renowned technical diver and technical instructor trainer, “Sidemount Bob” or “Chewie” is devoted to imparting his infectious passion for diving while travelling the world. An avid and seasoned adventurer looking for challenges, diving cool expeditions and spreading a bit of inspiration.
A diver, teacher, writer, photographer, a multi-brand ambassador and test diver. Life-long adventurer, spirited to explore new environments in both caves and wrecks, while enjoying the tranquillity of surreal places below the surface. Protecting the ocean and wildlife, but also dedicated to improving diver safety through solid training. Including developing practical environmental skills for OC and CCR in Sidemount, technical advisor and primary and co-author in some RAID training manuals, for which he’s globally reputed. In his 20+ year diving career, he has trained with most major training organisations and served as director of training for RAID UK & Malta.
A keen conservationist and an honorary member of “Artic on the Edge” a contingent of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, promoting protection of all terrestrial animals through media while presenting at schools near home and a speaker at national and international dive show events.
